We have 3 Sunday
School groups for children from the age of 3 to 10. They are;
Bubbles for the 3 and
4 year olds
Splash for the 5 to 7
year olds
Extreme for the 8 to
10 year olds.

from the report written for our AGM.
This has been another happy year in Sunday School with the teaching of the
children going on steadily week by week. One of the great joys is watching
the children progress from being cared for in the crèche to moving up
through the 3 classes. All the time being exposed to the truths of the Bible
stories and the relevance of having God in their lives. As most of our
children are from church families much of what we teach is a supplement to
what is already being taught at home. However there are opportunities when
some of the sowing, done by others, comes to fruition. We have seen this
happen this year when some of the older children have gone to the Explorers
Camp at Tintagel and have made a definite decision to commit their lives to
Christ. We thank God for this and I would ask that all the Sunday School
helpers realise that they have all been a part of the progress that these
children have made in their Christian lives. It may have been the love and
care shown to them as babies and toddlers; a Bible story brought to life; a
personal experience shared; a sound piece of advice given that has helped
them with a problem at school or just some fun when playing a game.
As with all parts of the Church’s work we are doing some of the things that
Jesus himself would be doing if he were here in Saltash. So thanks to all of
those who have made this year’s work possible.
We held a Holiday Club at Easter, led by Dawn Getley, and all those who
attended had lots of fun; made lots of noise and we trust learnt lots as
well.
Once again last year
we joined with the Friday Toddler group and held our Nativity and Carols
Service on the Sunday before Christmas. It was very well attended by both
church folk and parents and friends of the “toddlers” Crèche
We are
running a Crèche
week by week on a Sunday morning so we can give some of the mothers in the
church time to attend the service. We have a good number of volunteers on
the rota but are always glad of any more who re able to help in this way. We
still have plenty of babies and toddlers to look after and long may it
continue!
From
the ages of 11 to 18 we have Fusion, Phuji and Synergy. |
